What
Our Student Support Staff loves finding new ways to reach more students and connect them with resources in our community. When Job Developer Arlene Flores realized she was unable to do a traditional Job Fair in 2020 or 2021, she decided to run a virtual “Working Fridays” series. She still wants to give “our students and our community that extra assistance with an opportunity to meet various employers, hear about their opportunities, and perhaps even get hired.”
Why
Arlene explains that “many of our students or community have either lost their jobs or exhausted their benefits.” As she sees many employers are rebuilding and hiring, it’s the perfect time to bring employers to our students and their family and friends. During these virtual sessions, Arlene will also share information about our CTE Programs for those wanting to build a career, not just a job.
How
These events are free and open to our students and the public. Participants must RSVP to [email protected] to obtain the ZOOM link.
