As part our collaborative work in the Coast Adult Education Consortium, we are offering free and low-cost career training with Orange Coast College.
These classes are open to everyone, but we especially encourage our ESL Level 3 & 4 students to enroll. Each course also offers ESL support classes.
Personal Care Aide
This free 12-week program consists of 3 noncredit courses, and includes American Heart Association First Aid, CPR/AED certification and visits from local employers. On Tuesdays, there is an ESL teacher on hand to provide support during class.

- Apr 9 – 11, Tues/Wed/Thu, 6-9:00pm: First Aid, CPR/AED for Personal Care Aides

Early Childhood Education
Students who complete 6 units of Early Childhood Education or Child Development qualify as an Assistant Teacher.

- Optional ESL Support Class: Fridays 8:30 – 11:30am

How?
Students must complete an application form to attend OCC, and then enroll in the class. OCC reps will be at HBAS Campuses to help students apply and enroll on the spot:
